Areas of Support for Our Neighbors in Need

Personalized Home Visits & Encounters

  • We go to the Neighbor in Need at their home or requested Encounter Location at a day and time that is convenient for them
  • We go “two by two” as Jesus instructed to serve with an open and receptive heart
  • We humbly listen, pray together, and offer support to the best of our ability

A Vetted Referral Database

  • We share 100+ referrals with our Neighbor that have been vetted
  • We provide areas of support at the Encounter that may not have been asked by the Neighbor but can help with their need

Housing Assistance Across 24 Zip Codes

  • 56% of all donations received has gone to Housing Assistance
  • A personalized Landlord Engagement process has been created for Neighbor support reducing the amount of potential evictions

Utilities Assistance Across the Cape Fear Region

  • 42% of all donations received go toward utility support for neighbors in need
  • Partnership has been established will all utility agencies across the Cape Fear region for Neighbor Support.

A Custom Made Financial Management Program for Neighbor Support

  • Vincentian to Neighbor work “Hand in Hand” to create a plan for self sufficiency
  • Personalized Budget plans are created to meet Neighbor’s need
  • Convenient follow-up and help is provided

Spiritual Support

  • Vincentian prays with neighbor and offers spiritual comfort
  • Prayers are offered continually in honor of a neighbor by the Conference
  • A handmade rosary and Vincentian Prayer are part of every Welcome Kit shared with Neighbor along with the Hope Line phone number.
