Member Parishes

A “Conference” in the SVDP national & international structure is named in tribute to the original Conference of Charity, the Conference is the basic organizational unit of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Most Conferences are organized at local parishes, a typical Conference has about 15 – 20 Active Members, and often quite a few Associate Members.

SVDP Our Lady of the Rosary Cape Fear Conference is unique. We are created as a Deanery Conference made up of 12 Parishes and 1 University Catholic Center. We grew together as a family. Members experienced God’s calling through awareness at Deanery events, reading Parish bulletins, and enjoying our Founders Day celebration. Distance throughout the Cape Fear Region is challenging but Vincentians love a challenge and have stepped forward to help a Neighbor in need wherever the call may be. Most of our work is done by visiting neighbors in need in their homes and help in the best way possible. All Conferences throughout SVDP are genuine communities of faith and love, of prayer and action and SVDP Our Lady of the Rosary Cape Fear leads the way.
