Who are “WE” as Vincentians

We are members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul – known as Vincentians. We are women and men who faithfully serve those in need throughout the Cape Fear Region covering over 400 miles and 22+ zip codes. We are friends and members of the SVDP Our Lady of the Rosary Cape Fear Conference. One of the only Deanery Conferences in the Southeast region of the United States. We serve people in rural, suburban, and urban communities across the Cape Fear Region. We represent every age, every race, and every income. Without our classic blue shirt on, it would be hard to tell us apart from the people we are serving!
God Inspired, Blessed, and Nourished

God Inspired

Blessed

Nourished
Vincentians are inspired by Gospel values, joined together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of our founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul. As we share the blessings God gave us with those who need help and hope, we understand that service to a neighbor in need is an encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ.
God’s love is witnessed by embracing all of our “Neighbors” and serving with no distinction because as Vincentians we see the face of Christ. Spirituality grows daily by offering person-to-person service to Neighbors in need. Our nourishment comes by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings, and adherence to a basic Rule. Living our core values of Spirituality, Friendship, and Service is the Vincentian Way with a splash of fun.

Message from Our President
In God’s kingdom the measure of success is not how much we gain but how much we give away in love. As the President of this wonderful Vincentian Family, I see a Conference that surpasses expectations every day because our love of Neighbor guides every step. We walk together in prayer and focus on being and seeing the Face of Christ in every encounter. With this focus, we know God will open doors one never knew existed.
